To create and effectively operate an annually occurring Georgia Environmental Conference providing Current, High Value, and Relevant Educational Content to Professionals practicing in the Environmental Arena.

The Georgia Chamber's 4th Annual Georgia Environmental Conference is the state's largest and most comprehensive educational opportunity and will be attended by an estimated 550 State, Local, and Federal Government Officials, Business and Industry Leaders, Attorneys, Consultants, Engineers, Developers, Land Owners, Architects, Agribusiness Leaders, Energy Experts, Water Planning Districts, Universities, Public Health Officials, Solid Waste and Recycling Experts, and many others with a strong interest in Georgia's Environmental Programs.

Over the three-day period (August 26-28, 2009), this Conference will host an elite group of environmental professionals seeking to exchange knowledge and share ideas around environmental concerns in Georgia. The curriculum, designed and developed by our Steering Committee, offers over 35 unique courses, allowing Attendees to design their own personalized curriculum by selecting seven educational courses while receiving approved Continuing Education credits. With the combined efforts of the state's leading environmental organizations, the Georgia Environmental Conference has proven to be a valued educational supplement focused on sustaining the future for the people of Georgia.

This year's Conference will be centered within the historic city of Savannah, Georgia. All Conference classes and receptions will be held at the Hyatt Regency, seated on the Savannah River waterfront. Savannah, Georgia is located on the state's east coast, southeast of Atlanta and Macon (248 and 166 miles) and northeast of St. Simons Island (83 miles).
